Wiltshire Marque celebrates launch
We recently celebrated the launch of the Wiltshire Marque at an exclusive event for Marque makers and supporters.
We welcomed over 40 Marque makers and supporters to the idyllic surroundings of Pythouse Kitchen Garden to celebrate the launch of the Marque, get producers talking to each other and enjoy some delicious, truly local food and drink.
At the event, we heard from Richard Clewer, leader of Wiltshire Council, about the catalyst from the scheme, and Holly Garner, founder of Hollychocs, about what a scheme like the Wiltshire Marque means to her business.
Rachel and James, who are part of our Wiltshire Marque team, revealed the final brand and website to everyone over a round of refreshing mocktails, made with Pythouse’s own Sprigster non-alcoholic infusion. We were also joined by BBC Radio Wiltshire, who came to discover more about the Marque.
Attendees enjoyed a hearty lunch, brimming with Pythouse’s homegrown produce and lamb sourced from just two miles down the road. It was the perfect opportunity for businesses to catch up, meet potential partners and start making connections – exactly what the Wiltshire Marque was set up to do.
As our launch event demonstrated, there’s a lot more to Wiltshire food and drink than just Wiltshire ham – explore our directory today to find out more about our makers and discover a different side to Wiltshire.
